Our Strategy

We provide inspiration and a helping hand to North East entrepreneurs through our annual events calendar, our mentoring programme and by championing the entrepreneurial community both nationally and regionally.


The Forum aims to deliver world-class events that provide a dynamic environment to be inspired, make connections and share knowledge. Events include:

  • Annual spring and autumn conferences;
  • North East Entrepreneurial Awards;
  • Focus and supper club dinners;
  • Chairman’s dinner;
  • Open & on-site events;
  • Round table discussions;
  • Exchange events.


Members regularly come together through our mentoring programme - a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs and business leaders to speak with those who have been through it before and are keen to pass on their experience:

  • Informal & confidential support;
  • Mentoring drop-in sessions;
  • One-to-one meeting;
  • Intelligent matching of needs with

Mentors give their time altruistically to help their fellow Forum members.


The Forum is the legitimate voice of growth-orientated owner-managed businesses in the North East. Our role is to influence government and other regional stakeholders about the importance of entrepreneurship. 

We champion the entrepreneurial community and our corporate partners, seeking recognition for the north east. 

Our quarterly Business Tracker Survey provides us with the information we need to deliver a powerful message and demonstrate exactly what is happening in our entrepreneurial community.
