A delightfully different online venture for local female entrepreneur

A local business woman has moved from creative director to pleasure creator with the launch of her new online adult boutique.
Elizabeth Bassnett, of South Tyneside, has launched Little Shop of Erotic Delights to capitalise on the growing female erotic market which is worth around £250 million in the UK*.
The online boutique is aimed at those with a penchant for erotica and designer brands. It stocks a range of gifts, including luxurious lingerie by local company Tallulah Love and adult products by upmarket brands like Lelo and Shunga.
Prior to launching The Little Shop of Erotic Delights, Elizabeth was a director at design and marketing agency, Push Creative for seven years. After several life changing experiences, the most significant one being the loss of her Mother, Elizabeth re-evaluated her goals and ambitions.
Elizabeth explained: "I realised that life is too short not to take risks and try new things, so I decided to set up Little Shop of Erotic Delights, and I'm really excited about the future now.
"I have been blogging within this niche for some years now, so my new venture is a logical progression from my creative writing and more adventurous persona."
Keen to bring glamour back to the adult industry, Elizabeth has created an online boutique aimed at those who are looking for high-end adult gifts or beautiful boudoir style items such as lockets and frames for their bedroom.
She said: "The adult industry has lost its direction a little and hasn't kept up with the more discerning buyer. Ethically, some of the products out there are not even safe within your body. We stock body safe products and I feel this is an important consideration when pleasure seeking."
In the year ahead, Elizabeth is looking to expand the business to include a larger range of romantic gifts and accessories for lovers and pleasure seekers.
