Harvey Nichols Deal for Handbag Clinic Takes Designer Repair Firm into North West

Handbag Clinic has teamed up with luxury department store Harvey Nichols in a deal to take its services into the North West.
The Burnopfield business, which has spruced up handbags and accessories worth more than £20m since its launch three years ago, is launching an exclusive new service at Harvey Nichols in Manchester, where customers can tap into its repair and restoration treatments instore.
Handbag Clinic receives hundreds of high-value designer bags, many worth thousands of pounds, into its Burnopfield repair workshop every week, where they are lovingly cleaned, resprayed and restitched.
The firm was established as an offshoot of the Furniture Clinic leather repair business launched by Ben Staerck, but it quickly emerged as the shining light in the leather repair operation, prompting the launch of several stores where fashionistas can drop off their beloved bags to be restored, including one in Newcastle.
Now customers can visit the luxury retailer with their bag to receive a consultation from the experts at Handbag Clinic.
Ben Staerck, managing director of Handbag Clinic, said: “We are delighted to be working with Harvey Nichols in Manchester, there is a real synergy between its customers and our clients.
“We’re experiencing huge demand for our services in our stores and we’re expecting interest to be high in Manchester too.
“This will offer Harvey Nichols customers a complete, convenient and bespoke service from the moment they make a purchase with the opportunity to protect, maintain and repair their most loved accessories.”
