EF comment on North East LEP issues

Nigel Mills, chairman of the Entrepreneurs' Forum:

"The members of the private sector that make up the majority of the North East LEP board are all well respected and accomplished business people who have themselves driven innovation and created many jobs in the region.

"As champions of entrepreneurship in the North East, the Entrepreneurs’ Forum wants to see a region that delivers ongoing growth, where enterprise flourishes and increased opportunities exist for both employment and apprenticeships.

"We support the business-led LEPs in their endeavour to drive forward the delivery of a strategic economic plan and we hope that they can gain unity within their board safe in the knowledge that the region’s entrepreneurial community has absolute confidence in their ability to shape the continued economic growth of the region."
