Chris Peacock is the Owner and Chief Executive of Peacocks Medical Group, one of the UKs leading suppliers of medical equipment, including orthotics, theatre equipment, mobility aids and dental & surgica.
Graduating with a business degree, Chris started work in a 7 strong team that in just 3 years raised £14m for a Northeast research centre dedicated to childhood diseases. From 1996 he worked in change management for the French aerospace company Hurel Dubois working on the BA Rolls Royce engine line.
Chris is Chief Executive of The Peacock Group which consists of 3 medical device companies employing over 170 people. He is fourth generation of family members to work at Peacocks since its beginnings in 1903.
In 2017 he was part of the management team that attracted a multi million pound investment to create a global spin out company - Podfo®. The world's first truly dynamic 3D printed foot orthotics.
Chris also has many external interests. He is a member of the Entrepreneurs' Forum and the CBI Regional Council. He is the Chairman of the North of England Children’s Cancer Research Fund and Chairman of the Children’s Cancer Run which is now Europe’s largest single charity fun run; collectively raising nearly £30m for research into Childhood Cancer.
Chris was a finalist in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the year and awarded the 2010 emerging talent award at the Entrepreneurs Forum annual conference. He is now a regular mentor at the Entrepreneurs Forum in Newcastle.
Chris is a former skydiving instructor and has won the British nationals three times. With over 1400 jumps he is one of the UK’s most experienced jumpers. He also loves to windsurf and is a board tester for Windsurf magazine.
Chris' specialities are in delivering high organic growth sales strategies, managing change, empowering teams, introducing new products to market, strategy and vision, setting up business overseas, attracting funding for spin out companies, working with start up businesses and non-executive directorships.
