What information do we collect about you?

We collect information about you when you register for an event, attend an event, provide event feedback with us or enquiry or apply for membership. Website usage information is collected using on-line application forms and cookies.

How will we use the information about you?

For members and partners: We collect information about you to process your event registration, manage your account and, if you agree, to email you about other events and services we think may be of interest to you. The Entrepreneurs’ Forum will not share your information for marketing purposes with companies outside The Entrepreneurs’ Forum without your express permission.

For guests, former members, suppliers and guest speakers: We will keep your information where we may need it for a legitimate purpose, for instance, to respond to queries, or to reference against financial information which we have to keep by law.

For individuals and prospective members or partners interested in the Entrepreneurs’ Forum’s news or products: Should you opt-in to receive information about the Entrepreneurs’ Forum, we will communicate with you by a combination of email, post and telephone, depending on your opt-in preferences.

When an individual joins one of our on-line events we may collect their video image and sound (only if the individual chooses to share their webcam and/ or microphone) as we record events to share with Forum members who request access to the content at a later date. We also use still images from our on-line events to promote our services.

We will only use the information we’re allowed to by law, in order to provide any services you have signed up for, because we have a legitimate business interest or where you agree to it.  This may include use of a third party email client, which will mean transferring your details to that platform, but if we do that, we will ensure the security of any data we transfer.  At present we use Mailchimp and Swiftpages.
