An experienced entrepreneur with a proven track record of success in the international salmon farming industry, Ian is now firmly based in NE England. He is the founder of Pulcea Ltd, a small R&D company developing innovative technology for marine based industries.
Ian is responsible for the commercialisation of Pulcea’s IP portfolio including the high-performance bubble curtain which is attracting considerable interest within the OWF industry to help meet the need for improved underwater noise mitigation systems during Fixed turbine installations.
Pulcea were recipients of Advance Northumberland’s inaugural “Spin In” competition and have been beneficiaries of TIGGOR funding from NECA to help develop their OWF technology. Commercialisation of these inventions will be via Pulcea (OWF) Ltd, established in May 2025 and operating out of Pulcea’s office in Blyth.
