Josey was recently appointed Director of Therapy North, bringing fresh perspective and dynamic leadership to the organisation’s child and adolescent mental health services. As one of the youngest directors in the field, Josey offers unique insight into the challenges faced by today’s youth and understands the importance of relatable, accessible support.
Currently completing a degree in Psychology alongside a Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Child and Adolescent Counselling, Josey pairs strong academic grounding with extensive hands-on experience promoting positive mental health outcomes for young people across the region.
With a passion for early intervention and prevention, she is spearheading Therapy North’s Child and Adolescent Strategy, driving innovative approaches that go beyond traditional counselling, including brief interventions, drop-in sessions, and group programs. Under her leadership, Therapy North delivers these services across welcoming community hubs in Jesmond and Tynemouth, through online platforms, and in collaboration with local schools.
Josey’s fresh leadership style bridges generations, ensuring Therapy North’s services remain relevant, forward-thinking, and responsive to the evolving needs of young people today.
