Terms and Conditions of Membership
1. Terms and Conditions
1.1 These terms and conditions shall govern your membership agreement with the Entrepreneurs’ Forum Limited (“Entrepreneurs’ Forum”). By submitting your application you agree to abide by these terms and conditions, as amended and notified to you from time to time by the Entrepreneurs’ Forum.
1.2 Membership of the Entrepreneurs' Forum is personal to the individual named on the application and may not be transferred without our written agreement.
1.3 Membership begins on the date we accept your applicaiton and your first payment is taken (the "Start Date").
1.4 Membership is continuous. It carries on until it is cancelled under clause 4, and there is no fixed minimum term beyond the period you have paid for.
1.5 There are two ways to pay for membership: annually in advance, or monthly in advance. Both give the same membership benefits at the package level chosen. The total cost of paying monthly is higher than paying annually, because payment is spread across the year.
1.6 Your "Renewal Date" is the anniversary of your Start Date if you pay annually, or the same date in each following month if you pay monthly.
2. Services
2.1 Your membership entitles you to attend Entrepreneurs’ Forum events and benefit from our mentoring services. We may charge for your attendance at an event if, for example, there is external catering provided. We will notify you in advance of any extra cost you will be required to pay if you wish to attend. Should you notify us of your wish to attend a charged event but are subsequently unable to attend the same, you must give us 72 hours notice. Failure to do so will result in you being charged in full for the event.
3. Fees and Payment
3.1 Membership and event fees are exclusive of VAT. VAT is charged at the prevailing rate.
3.2 If you pay annually, the full annual membership fee is taken on your Start Date and again on each Renewal Date, covering the following twelve months.
3.3 If you pay monthly, the monthly membership fee is taken on your Start Date and on the same date in each following month.
3.4 All event fees must be paid prior to the event date. You may be charged if you register for an event and do not notify us that you are unable to attend. Notification periods vary by event and are listed on the event listing on our website.
3.5 Membership renews automatically. When you join you authorise us to take payment of the applicable fee from your nominated card or direct debit on each Renewal Date, and that authority continues until your membership is cancelled under clause 4 or the authority is withdrawn.
3.6 If a payment fails we will attempt to take it again and will contact you. If a payment remains outstanding 30 days after its due date we may suspend membership benefits until it is paid.
3.7 You may change your membership package or move between paying annually and paying monthly at any time by contacting us. Changes take effect from your next Renewal Date unless we agree otherwise.
3.8 If you fail to make any payment on the due date then, without prejudice to any other right or remedy available to the Entrepreneurs’ Forum, we shall be entitled (unless prohibited by law) to claim interest and/or compensation for reasonable debt recovery costs under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 as amended and supplemented by the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Regulations 2002.
4. Cancellation of Membership
4.1 Notice to cancel must be given to us in writing by email to info@entrepreneursforum.net. We will confirm receipt and your final membership date in writing.
4.2 If you pay monthly, you may cancel at any time by giving us 30 days notice in writing. Your membership will end at the end of that 30-day notice period. If a monthly payment date falls within the notice period, that payment will still be taken.
4.3 If you pay annually, you may cancel with effect from the end of the period you have paid for, by giving us notice in writing at least 30 days before your Renewal Date. No further payment will be taken, and your membership will end on your Renewal Date.
4.4 Annual membership cannot be cancelled part-way through a period you have already paid for, and the fee for that period is not refundable, except as set out in clause 5.
4.5 If notice to cancel an annual membership reaches us fewer than 30 days before the Renewal Date, the renewal payment will be taken, and your membership will end at the close of that following twelve-month period. Clause 5 may still apply.
4.6 We may end a membership, or decline to renew it, where fees remain unpaid or where a member acts in a way that is materially inconsistent with the conduct expected of members. Where we end a membership other than for those reasons, we will refund the unused portion of any fee paid.
5. Refunds and unintended renewals
5.1 If a renewal payment is taken and you did not intend to renew, tell us within 14 days of the payment date, and we will refund it in full, provided you have not used your membership since the Renewal Date.
5.2 If you have used your membership since the Renewal Date, we will refund the payment less a reasonable amount reflecting the benefits you have received.
5.3 Beyond the circumstances set out above we will consider requests for a refund on their individual merits. Every such decision is made by a member of our team.
6. Privacy Policy
6.1 Unless we inform you otherwise, all events we organise will be held under the Chatham House Rule of confidentiality that, at any of our events, participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s), nor that of any other participant, may be published or disclosed.

We may make a small charge for this service. We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. You may ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate.
6.6 We agree not to forward, submit or publicise any other details, or any information we receive from you, to other members or to third parties without your consent. Please refer to our Privacy Policy on our website for further information.
7. Liability
7.1 Except as set out in clause 7.2, the Entrepreneurs’ Forum will be under no liability to you whatsoever whether in contract, tort, (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, restitution or otherwise for any damage or direct, indirect or consequential loss (all three of which latter terms include, without limitation, pure economic loss, loss of profits, loss of business, lost savings, depletion of goodwill and like loss) howsoever caused arising out of or in connection with your membership of the Entrepreneurs’ Forum or attendance at any of our events.
7.2 These terms and conditions do not exclude our liability (if any) to you for personal injury or death resulting from the Entrepreneurs’ Forum’s negligence, for fraud, or for any matter which it would be illegal for the Entrepreneurs’ Forum to exclude or to attempt to exclude its liability.
8. Severability
8.1 If any clause or part of these terms and conditions is found by any court, tribunal or administrative body of competent jurisdiction to be wholly or partly illegal, invalid or unenforceable in any respect this will not affect any other provision of these terms and conditions which will remain in full force and effect.
9. Governing Law
9.1 The membership agreement will be governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any disputes which may arise out of or in connection with the membership agreement.
