Award winning Teesside-based financial consultancy firm Atom Financial has strengthened its senior leadership team with the appointment of Sara Eckert as Head of Finance.
Sara joins with over 20 years’ experience in senior finance roles, including head of finance and group financial controller positions across multiple sectors. An ACCA-qualified accountant, she has a proven track record in managing and developing finance teams, mentoring staff and embedding a culture of continuous improvement.
In her new role, Sara will lead Atom’s finance function as a service proposition, a core part of the firm’s offering which provides businesses with access to flexible, outsourced finance expertise at every level.
Atom Financial, founded and based in Teesside, works with ambitious SMEs across the UK to provide external finance director support, management accounts, forecasting and bookkeeping services.
Over the past 12 months, the firm has helped attain over £6m in investments for businesses, as well as strengthen financial performance, improve decision-making and plan for long-term growth.
Earlier this year, the firm was proudly recognised by the professional services community, taking home the Emerging Firm of the Year award at the 2025 North East Accountancy Awards.
