Middleton Lodge Estate’s fine dining restaurant, Forge, celebrates 4 AA Rosettes at the AA Hospitality Awards 2025/2026
Middleton Lodge Estate is celebrating once again, as its fine dining restaurant, Forge, has been awarded 4 AA Rosettes at the AA Hospitality Awards 2025/2026. The announcement was made on Monday 22 September at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House in London, recognising the very best restaurants and hotels from across the UK.
The AA Rosettes are among the most prestigious accolades in the hospitality industry, with only a select group of restaurants achieving 4 Rosettes nationwide. The award recognises outstanding cooking on a national level, with inspectors assessing technical excellence, passion, ambition and exceptional consistency.
This is a huge achievement for Forge, which opened in 2023 with the estate’s ‘estate to plate’ philosophy at its heart. Those dining here can choose between a six or ten course tasting menu, each created to showcase the ethos, and narrate the produce growing across the surrounding landscape, during the seasons.
James Allison, Estate Owner, says:

“This recognition means so much to us. Since opening Forge, it’s been an incredible journey, and receiving an award like this makes the whole team and estate so proud. We’re always looking for new ways to be creative and give every guest a special experience.

The recognition marks another milestone moment for Middleton Lodge Estate, which has been undergoing a careful 20-year restoration to create a sustainable country estate where people can eat, gather and pause in the Yorkshire countryside.
Forge is open from Thursday to Sunday for evening reservations only. Diners can choose from a six- or ten-course tasting menu, with optional wine pairings. Vegan and vegetarian options are also available.
