South Tyneside-based, HLA Services, has announced a plethora of new contracts worth over £1 million across the North West.
The company already has a satellite office in Carlisle and is continuing its rapid growth with new projects that span the Pennines.
HLA Services has further signalled its ambition with the appointment of another business development manager, Matt Chojnacki-Wood, whose brief is to replicate the success the company has achieved in the North East by growing opportunities in Teesside, North Yorkshire and Cumbria.
Located in Boldon, HLA Services employs over 100 people and works across numerous sectors including construction, manufacturing, retail, education and hospitality. It is one of the North East’s leading full mechanical, air conditioning, climate change and temperature control specialists.
Director, Paul Smith, said: “We have a strategic focus on growing the business more heavily across the North West, Teesside and North Yorkshire. We have enjoyed great success in our traditional territories but we are ambitious and want to continue to grow. With satellite offices in these areas for five years we already have a footprint and we are gaining momentum.
“We have won multiple projects which have been led by project manager, Michael Oliver and HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) manager for Cumbria, Marcus Thomson.
“We have seen organic growth through existing contacts and via tenders, some of which includes installing new ventilation systems to a tyre manufacturing facility in Cummersdale and at The Christie cancer unit within Macclesfield District General Hospital.
“We have a great working relationship with numerous clients in Cumbria carrying out HVAC works for the refurbishment of the Wordsworth Museum in Grasmere and we are also carrying out similar work at Derwent Pencil Museum, Keswick, all of which was under the supervision of Michael Oliver and Marcus Thomson.
“Another substantial project includes a contract with toilet manufacturer, Kimberly Clark in Barrow-In-Furness, to the value of £450,000 which Marcus Thomson, is delivering.
“Ongoing contracts include an air conditioning and ventilation project for BAE Systems and ventilation systems for the Rheged Centre in Penrith, as well as some substantial NHS ventilation projects in the North West.”
