Surge, a leading creative agency in the North East, is excited to announce that Maxis Mates has been selected as its Charity of the Year for 2024/2025, following an overwhelming public response with over 2,000 votes cast, of which Maxis Mates secured an impressive 55%.
This beloved local charity, dedicated to rescuing and rehoming dogs, will now receive £10,000 worth of tailored digital solutions from Surge, specially designed to boost their visibility and support their important work. In addition to the marketing support, Maxis Mates will benefit from a year-long partnership with Surge, which includes fundraising initiatives, events, and campaigns to raise awareness and generate further support for their mission.
David Porter, Director at Surge, shared his excitement about the partnership, “We’re absolutely delighted that the public chose Maxis Mates as our Charity of the Year. The work they do to rescue and rehome dogs is nothing short of incredible, and we’re excited to help them reach even more people. This partnership is a fantastic opportunity for us to support a cause that makes a real difference in the North East and we’re looking forward to applying the right digital solutions to help them grow and amplify their impact.”
Maxis Mates’ new partnership with Surge follows the company’s longstanding commitment to supporting local charities. Last year, Surge worked closely with the TeamLuke Foundation, a charity dedicated to funding research for Neuroblastoma. Surge provided £14,000 worth of services, which included website design, copywriting, and media production, significantly enhancing the foundation’s fundraising efforts.
This initiative is another step in Surge’s mission to empower local charities with the tools, knowledge, and resources needed to raise awareness, secure long-term sustainability, and increase their positive impact on the community.
