Newcastle-based video-first marketing agency B7 has appointed Phil Duggan and Gurdit Singh as Directors, with both also becoming shareholders in the business.

Founded in 2020 by entrepreneur David Broom, B7 was launched during the Covid pandemic and initially operated as a consultancy. The business later pivoted into a full-service marketing agency when David chose to bring marketing in-house across his wider portfolio of businesses and client firms.
In 2023, David partnered with Phil to reposition B7 as a video-first storytelling agency, a move that has underpinned significant growth over the past two years. The business has since transitioned towards a retainer-led model, bringing stability, predictability, and sustainable growth.
B7 turned over ?262,563 in its most recent financial year, representing a 255% increase over two years, while maintaining a gross profit margin of approximately 75% - well above the industry average for agencies of its size.
The appointment of Phil and Gurdit as Directors reflects B7’s evolution from founder-led agency to a leadership-led business with long-term growth ambitions.
David and Gurdit are long-standing business partners, having co-founded businesses together across financial advice and financial technology.
