O agency has been named North East Agency for the third year in a row at the North East Marketing Awards held at St James Park, Newcastle.
The agency was named top agency with over 20 employees for the second year in a row, having won best agency under 20 employees the prior year. Judges commented on its commitment to young people in the region, following the recent launch of its new GrOw programme designed to encourage young talent from all backgrounds to enter the region’s creative industries.
IamProperty and O celebrated winning the “Best Campaign” (under £50k) for its innovative “Missing Piece” campaign and Fentimans celebrated “Best In-House Campaign” for its Longest Advert Ever, created by Orange Panther Collective, and supported by O.agency, on PR, social and influencer marketing.
Kari Owers, founder at O said: “The judges recognised not only our creative work, but the way we have supported our clients through what has been for many a challenging year. It’s proof that not only does great creative talent thrive in the North East but that big things can be achieved on small budgets too.
“It was great to see so many North East marketing teams being spotlighted for their innovation and talent, and as a supporter of the next generation in the region, to see so many young people up there on the stage too.”
On the same night as the awards, O helped its client Fenwick launch its Fenwick x Greggs bistro to the media, which attracted national and PR coverage including live TV on This Morning.
The agency, which is based in Sandyford, Newcastle also includes Flymo, Womble Bond Dickinson, Ringtons and Newcastle College among its clients.
