Fashion is set to meet fundraising in Sunderland this month as the popular Smart Works Newcastle pop-up shop prepares to step into Sunderland backed by Richard Reed Solicitors.
With the chance to refresh your summer wardrobe Richard Reed Solicitors are sponsoring the upcoming pop-up shop taking place at City Hall, Sunderland on Thursday 26th June, from 10am to 2pm.
Established charity Smart Works Newcastle help women into employment by providing high-quality interview clothing, styling advice, and coaching. The pop-up shop is not only a chance to shop for pre-loved and designer pieces, but also an opportunity to support a cause that empowers women and helps change lives.

Since Smart Works Newcastle opened in 2018, the charity has supported more than 3,000 women, with 68% securing a job within a month of their first appointment. Their service can be accessed by all unemployed women aged 16 and over who are based in the North East.
The team are committed to giving back to the local community, with news just dropping that Richard Reed Solicitors have been awarded the accolade of Highly Commended Community Business of the Year at the North East Chamber of Commerce Business Awards 2025.
The support for the Smart Works Newcastle pop-up shop event is a fantastic example of what can be achieved through collaboration and compassion. Sunderland and its community remain at the heart of the firms ethos and they continue to support a range of initiatives including their role as a Regional Partner of Sunderland Football Club, part of the ‘Network for Good’ concept as a Friend of Grace House and a Foundation of Light Corporate Partner, alongside supporting Love Amelia and the Red Sky Foundation.
