Teamwork makes the dream work

As lockdowns and travel restrictions put the brakes on economic activity, entire industries were put on hold and the inevitable consequences, unfortunately, played out. However Samuel Knight didn’t let the pandemic slow them down, after launching the business overseas in Boston and Chicago in 2019, they managed to scale both their UK and USA branches by 90% - 100% whilst navigating through multiple global lockdowns. The company also juggled moving into their new, purpose built HQ in the heart of Newcastle city centre, giving staff an office environment that provides leisure, spaces to relax and a fully equipped gym with an onsite personal trainer. The teams’ hard work came to fruition last year when their achievements during the COVID pandemic were acknowledged with Samuel Knight CEO, Steven Rawlingson winning the Entrepreneurs’ Forum Scale-up Entrepreneur for 2021 at the North East Entrepreneurial Awards.



Two years on from the COVID-19 nightmare and Samuel Knight is very much looking to the future, kicking off the New Year as they mean to go by adding an additional 5 new hires to their internal headcount during January. This trend is set to continue throughout 2022 across all levels of the business, creating long term career opportunities within the North East region.
