The Future Looks Bright: TrendBible Welcomes Two New Recruits To Newcastle HQ.

Future trend forecasting agency, TrendBible, welcome two new recruits to their Newcastle headquarters. Following a year of growth that sees company sales 115% up on last year, the Newcastle-based business welcomes Joseph Tuck and Becky Hansell to the team of 22, as part of a broader strategy to grow creative jobs in the North East.

Joseph Tuck joins the Commercial Team, as Data Analyst, having completed a year-long apprenticeship with TrendBible via Baltic Apprenticeships.

“I grew up in Middlesbrough and now work in Newcastle. I’ve found the Baltic Apprenticeship has been a fantastic experience. The hands-on training, mentorship, and the opportunity to work on real projects developed the skills and knowledge I needed to succeed in my role. I'm grateful for the support and guidance I received during this time, and I'm excited to continue improving my skills and knowledge to help drive TrendBible’s success in the future.”

Becky Hansell joins the Trend Forecasting Team as Creative Assistant, following her completion of a part-funded Graduate Internship facilitated by the Northumbria University Enterprise & Business Support Scheme.

“I graduated from Manchester School of Art amidst the peak of the pandemic, with a first-class degree in Textiles in Practice. My focus as a design student was always centred around building concepts that could tackle societal issues. Throughout my studies, I was always aware of TrendBible's work and when I saw an internship opportunity with them, I jumped at the chance.”

“I feel incredibly lucky to have been able to start my career in my hometown, without having to move or work remotely, which can limit collaboration and connection with colleagues. It has been an incredible year of learning and growth at TrendBible, and I am thrilled to now be a permanent member of the team. I have been able to fully utilise my degree within the creative industry, and I can't wait to see what the future holds.”

TrendBible Founder and CEO, Joanna Feeley said “Attracting and hiring local talent is critical - not only for making sure we have creative careers as part of the landscape here, but also as part for the Levelling Up agenda for the region. Whilst we have a lot of success hiring remote workers from London and other parts of the UK, it’s really important to me that we continue with our plans to create a strong footprint for the trend forecasting industry here in Newcastle. It’s a career I was only able to pursue by leaving the region when I first started out.”

TrendBible People and Culture Manager, Louise Weeks added; “We’ve been so grateful for the apprenticeship and graduate schemes available to us over the past couple of years as we’ve had to think differently about building our workforce following the Pandemic. In a small business, graduates and apprentices can add so much value, and every bit of funding support really helps us scale up."

TrendBible develops forecasts and strategies for global brands and retailers to help them better prepare and respond to future change within the home. Clients are global brands including LEGO, Valspar and Philips.
