Therapy North Invites Local Businesses to Support Trainee Counsellors and Staff Wellbeing

Therapy North is proud to announce that the first cohort of trainees from the BACP Approved Therapeutic Counselling course have now been formally signed off to practice. Each trainee counsellor is required to complete 100 hours of voluntary placement work in order to qualify, creating a unique opportunity for businesses to support both emerging therapists and employee wellbeing.

By hosting a trainee counsellor on placement, organisations can offer free, confidential counselling sessions to their staff, helping to address common workplace challenges while contributing to the development of the next generation of qualified counsellors.

The trainee counsellors are able to provide 50-minute counselling sessions and can support a wide range of presenting issues, including (but not limited to) burnout, stress, anxiety, low mood, low self-esteem or confidence, and relationship or family difficulties.

This initiative offers a meaningful way for businesses to demonstrate their commitment to mental health, reduce workplace stress, and positively impact staff wellbeing, all while helping trainee counsellors complete the hours they need to graduate and enter the profession.

Businesses interested in hosting a trainee counsellor or learning more about the placement process are encouraged to get in touch with Kirsty at Therapy North.
