This June, I was honored to speak at The Next Web Conference in Amsterdam on a panel hosted by ACT | The App Association titled “Error 404: SME Voices Missing in Tech Policy.”
Small and medium-sized businesses are too often left out of crucial conversations around tech policy.
When these voices are missing, policies risk overlooking the realities and needs of the very innovators driving growth from the ground up.
On the panel, I shared my experience navigating the tech landscape as an SME and stressed why it’s essential that smaller players have a real seat at the table, especially now, as the EU reviews the Digital Markets Act, which, frankly, doesn’t fully reflect SME perspectives.
