A North East-based software solutions and development company has secured a six-figure investment from UKSE to support an ambitious plan for growth.
Sapere Software, based in Stockon-on-Tees, says the investment from the Tata Steel subsidiary has enabled it to take on two additional software developers and proceed with plans to develop new products and processes. The three -year development plan will see a further six developers join the current seven-strong team.
Sapere’s award-winning bespoke software helps businesses looking to improve efficiencies and profitability, providing innovative digital tools for their staff and customers – from web and mobile apps that include the latest ground-breaking functionality to the implementation of AI algorithms.

Sapere started in 2007 and, as a team, we have decades of expertise and experience behind us so are perfectly positioned to help advise, implement and support on that digital transformation journey.”
The company works across a wide range of sectors, specialising in the SME market. They are involved in everything from social housing, engineering, manufacturing, finance, water and renewables to law, education, charity and health.
“Our market in the North East is particularly strong,” said Paul Drake, “but we are working right across the UK and internationally. Our plans are to branch out further and we are currently in discussions with a company that would be a global customer for us. We welcome UKSE’s involvement and the significant investment means we now have the resources to invest in growing our team, markets and products.
