As a member of ACT, I had the privilege of representing ACT | App association at key stops on the Developed, in Amsterdam and Copenhagen.
Engaging with developers, policymakers, and business leaders, I had meaningful conversations about the future of tech, the evolving policy landscape, and the opportunities ahead for the EU app economy.
It was inspiring to see startups showcasing bold ideas in the Scale Lab and to be part of a dynamic community committed to driving Europe’s digital growth.
Although, there was one big takeaway that’s stayed with me ever since.
AI was everywhere. Literally, every corner you turned it was “AI-powered this” and “AI-driven that.” But here’s the funny thing, that wasn’t what people actually connected with.
I saw lots of startups leading with “AI” as their headline, but often, it felt like they were missing the real reason people stop and listen.
What really stuck with me were the conversations where the focus was on people, real problems, and purpose, not just the tech buzzwords.
In my latest article, I explore:
-
Why some pitches grabbed attention
-
What worked in those first 30 seconds
-
Who nailed it by keeping it real

If you’re navigating the crowded AI landscape and looking to better position your product, this might give you some fresh ideas.
Nevertheless, it was an incredible week! I’m truly grateful for the invitation to speak and for the chance to connect with so many amazing people.
