Ward Hadaway strengthens team with 27 new appointments

Ward Hadaway has appointed 27 new legal specialists across its North East offices in Newcastle and Teesside, strengthening teams supporting clients across the region.

The new starters include directors, solicitors, trainee solicitors and paralegals, with 22 appointments in Newcastle and a further 5 in Teesside. The North East hires form part of a wider intake of 44 new starters across the firm nationally, reflecting continued investment in regional capacity as client demand remains strong.

Lee Bramley, Executive Partner in the Teesside office, said: “The North East has long been a core region for the firm. We continue to see a consistent level of instruction across a broad range of matters, often requiring teams to work closely across disciplines. These appointments reflect the need to ensure we have the right level of capacity and experience across both Newcastle and Teesside to support clients effectively.”

The new hires strengthen teams across a range of practice areas, contributing to both day-to-day advisory work and more complex matters. The combined Newcastle and Teesside offices support a range of client work across the region, alongside national mandates delivered in collaboration with teams across the firm.

Amie Leyden, Associate in the Real Estate team based in the North East, said: “Ward Hadaway’s established presence in the North East and the breadth of work handled across both Newcastle and Teesside were key factors in my decision to join the firm after having previously trained with Ward Hadaway. The opportunity to work closely with experienced colleagues on a wide range of real estate matters, while supporting long-standing client relationships in the region, made it a strong fit.”

Ward Hadaway employs nearly 600 people and operates from offices in Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle and Teesside, advising clients across the UK on a wide range of commercial and personal legal matters.
