Dominic Lusardi attended the Scale-up Leaders' Academy (SULA) as part of the 2017-18 cohort, and it changed his mindset towards how he approached his business, demonstrating that scaling up isn’t just about what you do, but how you do it.

“I’ve benefited from the programme greatly. It opened my mind. I learnt every business is the same – get your ducks in a row, talk honestly and openly about what you want for the company and then pull it in that direction,” he explained.

Completing the course gave Dominic a framework that allowed him to identify the profitable parts of a business and how, with the right tools in place, he could properly make it scale.

“When you run a business there is this nagging doubt about whether you can be doing more and pushing it further. This gives you a framework to recognise and build around that so that you can think about the future with clarity and structure,” he said.

“SULA gave me the opportunity to not only grow a business by myself. It put me in the right mindset and made me feel a lot more confident going forward. That I really was in charge of the future of my business.”
