About Us

Founded in 2002 as a not-for-profit organisation by entrepreneurs Sir Peter Vardy and Lorna Moran OBE, the Entrepreneurs’ Forum has grown from 40 founding members to represent hundreds of North East entrepreneurs representing all ages, genders and ethnicities (for a full list of our members, please see our membership directory).

Our purpose is to inspire North East entrepreneurs while our mission is to make the North East an exceptional place to be an entrepreneur. As the only entrepreneur-focused community in the North East, we understand that entrepreneurship is about survival – it's about navigating challenges, constantly evolving and celebrating achievements along the way.

That’s why, by joining the Entrepreneurs’ Forum, you'll be part of a community of founders just like you – passionate, determined and ready to share their experiences. Together, we energise, uplift and inspire one another on the testing yet rewarding journey of entrepreneurship.

Entrepreneurs’ Forum membership is for the entrepreneur, not just the business - because it is a life choice only other entrepreneurs understand. At the Forum, you’ll surround yourself with friends, collaborators and mentors who can offer guidance, support and inspiration at every stage of your journey.

With over 50 events per year and a widely praised mentoring programme, we provide invaluable opportunities for socialising, mentoring, learning and gaining inspiration. By joining us as a member, you're not only unlocking access to these resources but also ensuring that your business will thrive through shared knowledge and collective support.

“The best part of the Forum is its strong network cheer-leading for the region’s growth companies with stories of how to build your business by learning from others.”
