Evidence Based Education
CEO
Jack Deverson is the co-founder and CEO of Evidence Based Education, a leading organisation dedicated to improving educational outcomes through developing the quality of teaching and learning.
Since 2015, the company has become a trusted source of innovative solutions that empower teachers and schools to make informed decisions based on good evidence.
Through their Great Teaching Toolkit, EBE helps teachers access the best feedback available on their classroom practice, and provides them with a suite of tools for peer coaching and development. This all-you-can-learn approach to teacher CPD aims ultimately to improve the quality of what happens in their classrooms, but also gives the teachers themselves ownership over their professional learning, supporting job satisfaction, recruitment and retention. School and system leaders can evidence priority areas and improvement over time, ensuring that valuable staff time is used wisely for the improvement of teaching and learning.
EBE's tools, courses and resources are used by more than 40,000 teachers in over 50 countries worldwide.
Jack has a First in Chinese and German from Newcastle University. He also holds national representative honours in two sports, and is a keen musician, runner and cyclist in his spare time. He was awarded an MBE in the New Year's Honours List in 2024 for services to education, both for his leadership of EBE, as well as for voluntary posts as Enterprise Adviser for St Aidan’s Catholic Academy, Sunderland, at Heworth Grange Academy, Gateshead, and as a tutor with The Access Project.
