Matt Mavir is the Manging Director and founder of Last Night of Freedom, one of Britain’s biggest stag and hen party providers.
Now based in Gateshead, Last Night of Freedom was founded by Matt in 1999 from his shared student house in Heaton. It has grown into a multi-million pound organisation, having sent over 40,000 stags and hens to 60 global destinations.
Having survived the credit crunch and the covid pandemic, the company’s enjoying a record 2022 and employs around 30 staff with experts in every aspect of the stag and hen experience – from accessories, costumes and t-shirts through to sales and operations.
Last Night of Freedom’s growth has seen it become synonymous with the UK stag and hen market while Matt has positioned himself as one of the industry’s most prominent voices with media appearances in publications such as The Sun, CNN and The Sunday Times.
Now in the firm’s fourth decade having started Last Night of Freedom near the dawn of the dot com boom, Matt has unrivalled expertise in the stag and hen industry with almost a quarter of a century of experience at the helm of a firm which has helped create unforgettable experiences for over 300,000 satisfied customers.
