We are delighted to offer this exclusive and unique opportunity to Forum members to visit the UK headquarters of social network phenomenon Facebook.
The company’s move to Euston in 2013 was accompanied with an announcement to double its workforce in Britain to 500, making our host Jeff Turner’s role as head of learning and development even more critical.
The focus of our visit, entitled The Manager Trumps the Brand, will be on how this iconic company maintains its youthful culture with the pressure of staying ahead of the competition and maintaining its place in the ever-changing technology market, not to mention continuing profit levels that hit just under $1.5bn in 2013.
With a masters degree in training and performance management from Leicester University, Jeff was a training manager with AOL Time Warner and head of talent management at O2 before he joined Facebook in 2010.
Drawing on his experience of optimising business performance through the development of the team, he will offer a fascinating insight into how some of the world’s best known brands seek to get the best out of their people.
