With a background in heavy engineering from the Caterpillar Tractor Company, Larry Roberts has almost 30 years Sales and Business Management experience, including 18 years in the highly competitive field of permanent recruitment and 7 years as Head of Sales & Marketing for a multi-award winning HR and payroll software provider, during which time the company’s turnover, profit and employee numbers more than doubled.

More recently, Larry spent 3 years in Executive Development with global leadership development organisation Vistage International, during which time he helped to recruit CEO members and train and coach former entrepreneurs and senior executives in the art of leading and facilitating Vistage CEO peer groups.

Now as owner of the Newcastle-based Syncopa Consultancy, Larry specialises in executive recruitment and high-impact business skills training, whilst still finding time to speak to company owners about recruitment.

The name Syncopa is derived from the word ‘syncopation’, defined in music as the invisible, but vital ingredient which harmoniously brings together the disparate component parts.
