HomeServe Plc started from humble beginnings as FastFix on Osborne Road, Jesmond, and has grown with astounding success to its current position with a market capitalisation approaching £2bn and over 4,700 employees globally.
Leaving Procter & Gamble in the late 1980s, Jeremy Middleton and Richard Harpin, co-founders, set up an emergency property repair business called Fast Fix. After a difficult beginning, and with a brute determination to succeed, the business evolved into HomeServe PLC, now based in the West Midlands.
Jeremy remains on the Executive Committee, founded investment company Middleton Enterprises, received a CBE for charitable services in 2012 and remains a true advocate of the North East Region.
Join Jeremy to hear how HomeServe got started, what worked, what didn't, and what the future holds.
