Newcastle International Airport, Woolsington, Newcastle, NE13 8BZ.
Connecting our region to the rest of the UK, Europe and the World, Newcastle International Airport opened in 1935 at a cost of just £35,000.
It now contributes £646m into the North East economy each year, handling over 4.8m passengers and supporting 3,200 staff on site, with an addition 4,600 across the region.
Recently named the world’s most punctual small airport, it’s success has a huge impact on the prosperity of our businesses, with around 200 tonnes of cargo coming in and out of the first-class freight village, enhanced substantially with the introduction of Emirates Sky Cargo, which operates a direct daily flight to the UAE and then beyond.
A place we’ve all been through many times, this is your opportunity to see what goes on behind the scenes at the region’s biggest transport hub.
