A love for North East manufacturing has driven Valda Goodfellow ever since she worked her way up from production control trainee to become the first female MD of Mr Lazenby's sausage company.
Never afraid of hard work, Valda turned the business around and took it from financial stress to huge growth, before leading a mulit-million pound sale.
Embarking on a new journey with husband Paul, Valda went on to build Continental Chef Supplies (CCS), before selling to a global distribution company in 2008, and staying on until 2011.
Valda has never looked back, with her latest venture G&G Goodfellows launching in 2012 and growing from the ground up to supply the best brands in tableware, chefswear, machines and gadgets; and listed in this year’s FT’s 1000 – Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies.
Today G&G has over 20 employees, a stunning London showroom to complement its North East head office and a successful turnover. It is known by chefs around the globe as ‘the home of sexy plates’, with clients including Saturday Kitchen, Masterchef, the Great British Menu, The Ritz, The Social Group, Galvin Restaurants and our venue for the evening, Middleton Lodge - to name but a few!
*Take advantage of the hospitality at Middleton Lodge and stay over for the evening in this exclusive use Georgian Mansion House for £120, b&b, exclusive Entrepreneurs Forum offer.*
