Meet the Entrepreneur: Cathi Harrison, Para-Sols

Cathi Harrison didn’t intend to become a paraplanner; her introduction to the world of financial services came purely by chance, when a friend who’d received inheritance required a financial advisor, piquing her interest in the profession.

Identifying a gap in her knowledge, Cathi began researching roles in financial advice, landing a job as an administrator before building her experience in paraplanning and launching her own outsourced solutions business - Para-Sols – in 2009.

Since launch, the company has grown significantly, expanding its service portfolio and geographic coverage, and becoming a key brand in the Verve Group portfolio.

To meet increased demand, and to expand the growing Para-Sols team, Cathi developed The Grad Scheme, a two-year graduate programme focused on attracting and retaining top paraplanning talent in the North East.

Having recently moved to new premises to accommodate the next phase of their growth, Cathi is ensuring Verve Group is leading the field in technology adoption, client experience, wellness at work and talent acquisition and retention. Join us to hear more about their exciting future.
