He graced our TV screens in August when he starred in the latest season of ITV’s Undercover Big Boss – now’s your chance to learn more about the North East’s largest motor retailer from its CEO, Robert Forrester.
Robert founded the group in 2006 following the sale of the Reg Vardy dealership where he worked as a director.
Looking for a new challenge, Robert teamed up with fellow Reg Vardy executives to build a new player in the UK car dealership sector: Vertu Motors.
Based in Newcastle, the automotive group grew steadily by acquiring underperforming dealerships and transforming them into profitable enterprises. The strategy has served them well, with the group now reporting an astounding turnover of £2.4 billion and operating across 110 sites.
Among them is Bristol Street Motors, Macklin Motors and the Farnell dealerships while the Group itself is the largest operator of Honda dealerships in the UK. In 2020, it expanded its Yorkshire presence when it snapped up four VW dealerships from Sytner and acquired three franchises from the administrators of Leven Cars Group.
A story of remarkable business growth, join Robert in this exclusive focus dinner and learn more about Robert’s journey as an entrepreneur, Vertu Motors’ history and the Group’s exciting future.
