5 July 2022, 14:00 - 16:30
Park Commercial, Artemis Court, 1, St John's Rd, Meadowfield, Durham, DH7 8XQ
Stronger client relationships, more engaged employees, and a positive reputation are just some of benefits of choosing to put philanthropy at your business’ core (not to mention the main benefit of making a difference and helping give back to your local community!)
In our round table discussion led by Emma Gaudern of EMG Solicitors, we will explore the topic in more detail, focusing in particular on: how you can make a difference via your business, how to get started, the benefits of giving back and how to engage your team with your efforts at every step of the way.
Our round tables are shaped by your views and experience, so while we hope to cover the topics above, we may discuss other related subjects during the session.
About our host
One of the leading individuals in the field of Court of Protection, Emma founded EMG Solicitors in 2014 after working within the industry since 1999. Holding the position of Managing Director, Emma regularly instructs in high profile cases for both claimants and defendants as an expert witness in the field of Court of Protection and trust charges and is regularly called to give expert evidence in Court.
Previously highlighted in the Legal 500 as ‘among the finest court of protection firms in the country’, EMG Solicitors have placed a strong emphasis on giving back to the wider community and in November 2021, the firm organised its sixth WonderLAN Ball. Since its beginning, the WonderLAN Balls have now raised almost £70,000 in total for Headway, the national brain injury charity.
Having recently retired as trustee of Theatre Hullaballoo (a nationally recognised children’s theatre group which she was involved with since 2010), Emma is now a non-executive director of the North East Chamber of Commerce and sits on the development board of Durham’s bi-annual light festival ‘Lumiere’. Emma was listed as a ‘leading individual’ last year reflecting her contribution not only to EMG Solicitors but also to the region.
