With Simon Hartley

Durham Cricket, Seat Unique Riverside, Chester-le-Street, Co. Durham, DH3 3QR
There's no way to overstate how important a great team is to a business' success. But winning teams are tough to find — and even tougher to build.
If you studied leadership in the very best teams on Earth, what would you find? What common leadership characteristics would you find in elite special forces units, the Red Arrows, racing yacht crews, world class sports teams and Michelin Star kitchens?
And… how can you develop the characteristics of world class leadership in your team?
During this half day workshop Simon Hartley, Be World Class will help you to discover the underlying principles of world class teams, what differentiates them from their competitors and how to improve team performance.
‘The Five Keys to World Class Leadership’
During the first hour Simon will share the ‘Five Keys to World Class Leadership’ and how you can apply these principles to your team and your business.
This highly interactive session will focus specifically on helping you to apply the five approaches in your context, with your people, using the same methods that Simon uses with elite sports teams, global corporations and world class SME businesses.
‘How to Herd Cats’
Leaders have a unique challenge. How do you galvanise a team of human beings, each of whom has their own individual set of thoughts, feelings, values, and beliefs? How do you pull together a senior leadership team, who may also bring their egos and self-interests? How do you resolve the difference between the desires of an individual and the needs of the team?
It’s like trying to herd cats…so how do you herd cats?
For the latter part of the morning Simon will share some unique insights that he has gleaned from working with and studying world class teams, Michelin Star chefs and members of the elite special forces, some of whom aren’t human. And how, by implementing these characteristics within your own team, you can truly become world-class!
