The Highlights From Our #EF350miles Challenge

On 20th October 2020, we announced we had set ourselves a challenge: to cover 350 miles, the distance it takes to circumnavigate the region and visit our members HQs virtually, to raise money for Feeding Families. Here’s how we got on…

  We Ran/Swam/Walked/Cycled 678.5 Miles

From the challenge beginning on Monday 26th October to its end on Sunday 8th November, the Forum team ran/swam/walked/cycled a total of 678.5 miles of our 350-mile goal.

We (Virtually) Visited Our Members HQs Across the Region

From Wooler to Wynyard, Alnwick to Aycliffe and everywhere in between, we made our way virtually across the region, visiting our members HQs and documenting everything on social using the hashtag #EF350miles.

We Were Joined by The Cutest Helpers

And we didn't do it alone, we were accompanied by the cutest helpers including Esme and Ethan. And, of course, our furry four-legged friends helped too. Inca, Evie and Kohi all put their paws forward for the fundraiser.

We Visited Some Members In-Person and Visited Regional Landmarks

While we virtually visited our members HQs we also saw some on route too and visited regional landmarks including Penshaw Monument, Northern Spire Bridge, Miners Memorial Garden, Preston Hall Museum, Finchale Priory, Standing Stones at Herrington Country Park and Dunstanburgh Castle.

In total, we raised £1,163.75 for Feeding Families!

To date, we have raised over £1,163.75 allowing us to provide 23 hampers for 23 families this Christmas.

Thank you to every supporter, we couldn't have done it without you: Gary Fawcett, Graham Purvis, James Robson MBE, Fiona Mcgargill, Nigel John Mills CBE, Nikki Renton, Emma Gaudern, Nick Berry, Katherine Richards, Kieron Goldsborough, Jayne Hart, Jessica Williams, Adrian Cheesman, Cheryl Gibson, Emma Turnbull, Susan Dorani, Peter Lillie, Carol Watson, Alisdair Beveridge, Abby Dorani, Deborah Cooper, Alex and James Kirkup, and our anonymous supporters!
