North East accountancy specialist Blu Sky has appointed Gill Hunter as Board Advisor.
Gill brings more than 25 years’ commercial legal experience and senior leadership expertise.

North Shields-based accountancy firm Blu Sky has announced that Gill Hunter has joined the business as Board Advisor from the start of June.
As one of the North East’s first tech lawyers, Gill brings more than 25 years' experience in advising ambitious businesses on technology, intellectual property and commercial matters. Formerly Managing Partner and owner of certified B Corp Square One Law, she is also a respected voice in the regional business community.
The appointment comes as Blu Sky continues to grow its strategic advisory support for ambitious businesses across the UK. The firm, which became B Corp certified in 2024, supports clients with financial planning, forecasting and scale-up advice, with a focus on helping businesses grow in a sustainable and values-led way.
Gill’s appointment will further strengthen Blu Sky’s strategic direction as the firm reaches its next stage of growth. Her experience leading and scaling a purpose-led professional services business, combined with her expertise in technology, commercial strategy and inclusive leadership, will support Blu Sky as it continues to evolve its advisory offering, expand its reach and help more ambitious businesses grow with confidence.
