Edwards Commercial Cleaning has been named the Environment Award (Large Business) winner at the West & North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce’s Raising the Bar Awards 2026.
The awards celebrate businesses across the region that are making a positive impact in their communities, with the Environment Award recognising Edwards Commercial Cleaning’s continued commitment to reducing its environmental impact.
The family-run commercial cleaning business, which operates across the North East and Yorkshire, has made sustainability an important part of how it operates and plans for the future.
Over recent years, Edwards Commercial Cleaning has worked to better understand its environmental impact, measure progress and identify where meaningful improvements can be made.
Practical changes across the business have included reducing reliance on single-use plastics, introducing more concentrated and refillable cleaning solutions, improving fleet efficiency and reviewing how resources and waste are managed.
The company’s latest Carbon Report recorded a 15.2% year-on-year reduction in gross carbon emissions.

Edwards Commercial Cleaning has continued to strengthen its presence in Yorkshire following investment in its regional base at The Junction in Horbury, supporting the company’s growing portfolio of clients across the region.
The award adds to the company’s ongoing sustainability work and provides further recognition of its commitment to growing responsibly.
