Bargain hunters across County Durham are better placed to snap up this summer’s best buys after Entrepreneurs Forum members Fuse helped a popular North East charity enhance connectivity at two of its busiest shops.

Newcastle-based Fuse installed superfast 5G networks at the St Cuthbert’s Hospice shop at Durham city’s Prince Bishops and the charity’s Meadowfield Furniture and Homeware Store.
And now both shops are back on track and raising more money to benefit patients and their families.
Jamie Mableson, Fuse Managing Director, explained: “It was immediately clear that we could help out and make things easier for staff and customers.
“At the end of the day we want the team at St Cuthbert’s to raise as much money as possible — the work they do is incredible and every penny spent on the hospice improves lives.
“Losing money because of an unreliable Wi-Fi connection made no sense at all and that needed to change. Once the new 5G networks were installed there was no need to worry.
“The feedback has been so positive and we’re just pleased we were in a position to help.”
Fuse is committed to making a difference at the heart of the community and supports a range of local charities and organisations across the North East.
Whether offering practical help and advice, sponsoring local sports teams or raising money through its own fundraising efforts, the data connectivity specialist is keen to up its game as a key enabler.
And stepping in to find a network solution for two shops at the heart of the St Cuthbert’s Hospice estate aligns with the ethos underpinning a fast-growing and forward-thinking business.
Angela Lord, Sales Manager, Retail & Lottery at St Cuthbert's Hospice, said: “As more people choose to pay by card, having reliable connectivity across our retail sites is increasingly important.
“We’re grateful to Fuse for helping us enhance the experience for both our customers and colleagues at our shops.
“Our shops play an important role in generating income to support the care we provide to patients and their families, so ensuring transactions are quick and seamless benefits everyone.
“It’s been fantastic to work with a local business that shares our commitment to supporting the community and we’d like to thank Jamie and the team for their support.”
