GLC Projects, a demolition company based in the North East, is thrilled to announce that they have been awarded a contract by North Yorkshire Council to provide demolition and civil engineering services for the Claro Road Depot improvement project.

The Claro Road Depot project, located in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, presents an exciting opportunity for GLC Projects to showcase their expertise in the demolition industry. With their vast experience and proven track record in delivering safe and efficient demolition projects, GLC Projects is well-equipped to take on this new challenge.

"We are honoured to have been awarded the contract for the Claro Road Depot project by North Yorkshire Council," said Graeme Cochrane, Managing Director of GLC Projects. "As a local business, we are proud to contribute to the development and progress of our community through our specialised demolition and civil engineering services. We look forward to working closely with North Yorkshire Council to successfully complete this project."

GLC Projects will be responsible for the safe and controlled demolition of six existing structures at the Claro Road Depot, including the removal of asbestos to a number of buildings. As part of the works, GLC Projects will also install new street lighting to the council depot and upgrade the existing pavement to improve the onsite provision for vehicle parking and storage. During the project, which will be delivered across five distinct phases, the team at GLC Projects will coordinate their works with the council to ensure the normal operation of the Claro Road Depot at all times.

Whilst adhering to all relevant safety regulations and environmental standards, their team of highly skilled and trained professionals will use cutting-edge equipment and techniques to ensure the efficient and environmentally responsible removal of the structures, and upgrade to the existing infrastructure.

With sustainability in mind, as part of the project GLC Projects will limit the amount of waste going to landfill; GLC Projects will maximise the use of recycled aggregates on the project, whilst all reclaimed timber will be processed for biomass.

"We are confident in the capabilities of our skilled team and state-of-the-art equipment to complete the Claro Road Depot project to the highest standards," added Graeme Cochrane. "GLC Projects is committed to safety, sustainability, and delivering exceptional results on every project we undertake."
