Harlyn Solutions strengthens commercial team with appointment of Head of Commercial

Harlyn Solutions has strengthened its commercial capability with the appointment of Edd Cook as Head of Commercial, marking another significant step in the company's continued growth across the offshore energy, renewables, infrastructure, oil and gas, and heavy transport sectors.

Edd joins Harlyn from Siemens Energy, where he spent more than a decade developing extensive commercial and project management expertise. His experience across complex engineering and infrastructure projects further strengthens Harlyn's engineering-led approach to delivering high-value transport and logistics solutions. Working closely with clients and project teams, he will play a key role in supporting commercial strategy, developing client relationships and helping drive the next phase of Harlyn's growth.

His appointment comes alongside two internal promotions, reflecting Harlyn's continued commitment to developing talent from within.

Following the successful completion of Harlyn's Graduate Development Programme, Fergus Fowle has been promoted to Commercial Engineer, after first joining the business as an intern in 2023, before returning following his graduation from Newcastle University as a graduate engineer. In his new role, he will support commercial delivery, client relationships and business development activities.

Meanwhile, James Seabrook has been promoted to Project Engineer, recognising the technical and project delivery expertise he has developed since joining Harlyn in 2024. He will continue delivering complex engineering transportation and offshore projects for clients across the business.

Commenting on the appointments, Will Stephenson, Director of Harlyn Solutions said:
"We're delighted to welcome Edd to Harlyn. His Tier 1 offshore construction experience and strong operational background further strengthen our ability to support clients throughout the full asset lifecycle.

"It's equally rewarding to see Fergus and James progress following the successful completion of our Graduate Development Programme. Investing in emerging talent while attracting experienced professionals is central to building the multidisciplinary team our clients rely on.

"While renewables remain a core market, we're seeing growing opportunities across oil and gas, onshore energy, nuclear and wider infrastructure. As we continue to deliver increasingly complex transport, logistics and marine operations projects, these appointments ensure we have the expertise to expand our capabilities and deliver even greater value for clients."

Edd Cook, Head of Commercial at Harlyn Solutions, added: "I'm excited to be joining Harlyn at such a pivotal point in the company’s growth. The business has built a strong reputation and I was particularly drawn to its hands-on approach, the scale of the projects it delivers and the genuine impact it is having. The investment Harlyn continues to make in its people, engineering capability and facilities demonstrates a real commitment to long-term growth. It's an exciting time for both the business and the industries we work with, with the Northeast region in particular playing an increasingly important role in the UK's industrial future."

Over the past year, Harlyn has successfully delivered offshore module transport and installation, barge projects, cable logistics and complex mobilisation scopes, demonstrating the breadth of its engineering-led capabilities across multiple sectors. As the business continues to expand across its UK and Rotterdam offices, investing in both experienced professionals and future talent remain central to its growth strategy, ensuring clients continue to benefit from innovative, technically excellent engineering, marine and logistics solutions.
