United by a passion for curiosity and creativity, The Lakes Distillery and Selfridges proudly introduce The Whiskymaker's Editions Odyssey, the second limited-edition single malt whisky in their partnership.
Inviting you on a voyage of discovery through different styles of whiskymaking, Odyssey continues to explore the complexities of flavour creation. Complementary yet distinct in style from its predecessor, the new Edition has been on a journey to shape rustic fruits, salinity, and rich chocolate notes together in harmony.
Daring to combine the traditionally contrasting characters of port-seasoned casks with an array of sherry, wine and bourbon, the challenge was approached as if it were pieces of a puzzle.
With meticulous care, Odyssey has been nurtured over time through the art of élevage and blending. Encouraging the whisky to create its own unique set of flavours, every detail has been designed and shaped until the journey’s end, where complexity abounds, and forest fruits sit gracefully upon a sherry core.
With a wonderfully rich, rustic, heavy, and dark character, The Whiskymaker's Editions Odyssey is a testament to the sense of adventure shared by The Lakes Distillery and Selfridges. At 50.2% ABV, only 763 individually numbered bottles will be available exclusively from Selfridges London, Manchester and Birmingham stores and on Selfridges.com on Tuesday, 13 June.
