Newcastle based technology business, ION has increased its workforce by 50% over the last 6 months, with 14 new hires since January and a further 20 roles to be placed by the end of this year.
Cloud technology specialists, ION has continued to grow and create jobs over the past 12 months despite the disruption of the pandemic. Founded in 2016, ION has helped transform 100s of businesses through the application of market-leading technology solutions including Salesforce, FinancialForce and Sage.
Following on from a record year in 2020, ION is looking to more than treble turnover again this year with more than 20 new recruits expected to join the team in 2021. Having relocated to new offices in Great Park in October 2020, the team is now looking to take up a new unit.

As part of their recruitment drive, ION has created the ION Academy, a graduate training program to help get young people into the world of technology and finance. So far, the business has taken on 6 new graduates with recruitment continuing.
