George Jenkins is the managing director and founder of Modo Bloc, a property development company who develop imaginative spaces for better places to live and work in the North East and beyond.

His passion for property development started whilst he was studying Estate Management at Northumbria University. He struggled to find quality accommodation in the city which is when he realised there was a huge gap in the market. His career started when he stumbled across an opportunity to buy his first property & let out the other rooms to fellow students. Over the years, he re-mortgaged this property and bought other homes in strong student areas, revitalising them for higher rental yields before eventually selling his portfolio to allow him to focus on larger developments. This led to Modo Bloc being formally established in 2021.

Modo Bloc is proud to offer exceptional living spaces, thanks to Georges' vision and entrepreneurial spirit. Our approach is bold, imaginative and thorough. We create meticulously design-led properties that focus on the needs of the people using them. Ranging from luxury apartments and smart townhouses to carefully configured commercial developments, each is individual to its location yet driven by the same obsession with detail and craftsmanship. Buildings where substance and style are equally important.

Over the last two to three years, Modo Bloc has pipelined over £60m worth of developments. The first of Modo Bloc’s major projects was completed in the same year that Modo Bloc was launched. 8 design led apartments in the leafy suburbs of Sandyford which are now managed by our sister company, serviced accommodation specialists Your Lofts.
