Some of the region’s most exciting future businesses will begin with research, innovation, and technical expertise developed inside our universities. 

But moving from promising spinout to successful company takes more than the idea itself. It takes entrepreneurial experience, commercial judgement, networks, mentoring, and the right conversations at the right time. 

In partnership with Northern Accelerator, Spinout Spotlight is designed to bring those worlds together and connect university spinouts with experienced entrepreneurs from across the North East. 

Creating space for practical conversations, shared insight, and potential future support, this is an opportunity for spinout founders to learn from entrepreneurs who understand what it takes to build and grow a business. And for established founders to meet the people behind emerging ventures, explore where their experience could add value, and support the next generation of innovation-led companies in the region. 

Experienced entrepreneurs and mentors in attendance are to be confirmed.

Please note, this event is exclusively for North East entrepreneurs. 

Places are limited, so registering does not automatically confirm your attendance. Once we have received your registration, we will contact you directly to confirm your place. 

Places are also non-transferable. If you can no longer attend, please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer your place to someone else.
