The North East has a warm reputation for its love of wine and we’ve asked the man who brings us the very best to provide some insight into his company’s success.
Tony and his wife Veronica started Lanchester Wines from their living room in the village of Lanchester in 1980 and have since grown it into one of the UK’s leading suppliers of quality wines and spirits to the trade.
Over the years, the Cleary’s portfolio has expanded and now includes several leading businesses including Greencroft Bottling, the most modern wine bottling facility in the world, and Lanchester Gifts, the UK's second largest hamper business.
Sustainability is very much at the heart of the Lanchester Group. Plans are now underway to develop Greencroft Two, a building which will be powered entirely by the company’s on-site wind turbines and 1 million Watts of solar power - the first of its kind.
Those who enjoyed a taste of his story at our 2016 Global Entrepreneurship Week conference, and saw him crowned Entrepreneur of the Year 2019, will no doubt be keen to hear more about a journey of unexpected opportunities, truly unique customer service and rapid growth.
The Small Print - This event is exclusively for members of the Entrepreneurs’ Forum and costs £75+VAT, payable in advance. Unfortunately we are unable to reimburse this cost if your place is cancelled after Friday 6th March.
