Providing structure to make the day-to-day decisions while also providing a larger company-wide vision, strategic plans are a map for your business’s overall direction and goals, helping you to make decisions that align with your mission, vision and objectives.
Led by Jon Dudgeon, in this round table discussion we’ll discuss the details behind strategic planning. We’ll focus on timeframes for strategic plans; frequency of reviews; level of detail; formats and software to create and present your strategic plan; communicating your plan with others and who should collaborate in the creation of a strategic plan.
We’ll also investigate the relationship with financial plans, namely, how to ensure your financial plan is based on the right assumptions; which numbers are relevant to your business strategy; and how your strategic plan might change as your business grows.
This session will benefit those who are running businesses with 5-50 employees and are interested to compare notes with other Forum members on the tools and techniques used in finalising their plans. We expect participants will leave with fresh ideas to make their own planning processes more effective.
Our round tables are shaped by your views and experience, so while we hope to cover the topics above, we may discuss other related subjects during the session.
