When is the right time to exit your business – and what does “success” really look like when you do? It’s a question many entrepreneurs face as their company matures yet few feel fully prepared to navigate the process with confidence.

From understanding your options to preparing your business (and yourself) for transition, the pathway to a successful exit isn’t always straightforward. So, what steps should you take now to ensure the best outcome later?

To help you make sense of it all, we’ve invited experienced entrepreneur and adviser Magnus Willis to explore the topic in depth. We’ll look at different exit routes, how to maximise value and what you can do today to ensure you’re in the strongest possible position when the moment comes. Entrepreneurs who have already been through an exit are also welcome to join and share their own insights and experiences.

We’ll also be joined by James Nightingale, Partner in Ward Hadaway's Corporate team, who will be on hand to provide legal guidance on deal structuring, documentation and due diligence - and to answer any legal questions you have during the session.

We’ll guide our conversation around three key themes:

Understanding Your Exit Options

We’ll discuss the various routes available – from trade sale to management buyout and beyond – and help you understand which might be the best fit for your goals, timelines and circumstances.

Preparing Your Business for Exit

What makes a company attractive to buyers? We’ll discuss the practical steps you can take to strengthen your business, maximise valuation and ensure a smoother, more controlled exit process.

Life After Exit

Once the deal is done, what next? We’ll discuss the realities of transitioning out – emotionally, financially and professionally – and how to plan for the next chapter with clarity and confidence.

Whether you’re beginning to consider your long-term options or actively planning your next move, this round table offers a supportive, confidential space to learn from real experiences, ask candid questions and share your own perspective.

The Small Print
Our round tables are shaped by the insights and experiences of attendees, so while we aim to cover the topics above, we may also dive into other related areas during the session.

Due to limited capacity round table discussions are exclusively for entrepreneur members only. Guests or substitutions are not allowed.
