Joanna is founder and CEO of TrendBible, a Newcastle-based trend forecasting agency predicting the future of life at home. TrendBible predicts how householders will live and what they’ll do at home in 2 to 5 years’ time.

With 24 years’ experience as a trend forecaster, she has grown the business to become a leading authority in the future of home, working with recognised brands such as Valspar, Starbucks, Samsung and LEGO. Joanna leads a team of 24 staff based in Newcastle and around the UK, and a network of trend scouts based all over the world.

Joanna is quoted as an authority on trends and is regularly cited by The Independent, BBC Radio 4 and the Financial Times.

Joanna is passionate about raising the visibility of the creative sector in the North East of England, evidenced in her commitments outside of running TrendBible.

She has launched Creative Studio Tours, a programme for school students to visit creative companies in Newcastle to build aspirations for a creative career, and has launched The Female Scale Up, a forum for sharing knowledge with the next generation of female founders.

Honoured by the think-tank Institute of Public Policy Research (IPPR), Joanna was named as ‘one of the new generation of female entrepreneurs’. She was named Entrepreneur of the Year at the Entrepreneurs' Forum Awards, won Female Entrepreneur of the Year, the Susan Dobson Award for Entrepreneurship in 2018 and won the Great British Entrepreneur award in 2022.
